Greenwood's
Chef Carole Greenwood presented us with a challenge; to create a warm, intimate dining lounge within a tight timeline on an equally tight budget. It seems odd to state the obvious but this wasn't going to be easy. The architecture firm of CORE would create working schematic drawings and coordinate the color palate while we would provide continuous budget feedback, construction and costing for various materials under never ending review. In a heartbeat the team provided a uniquely warm atmosphere including features such as refinished natural wood floors and wainscot, hand blown glass light fixtures by Kugler, long banquette tables surrounded by plush fabrics and a galvanized metal bar. This restaurant represents much of what is perfect about the Design / Build model of delivering an entrepreneur a location that is part of their overall business model. It doesn’t do any good to have a passion for success stymied by in-fighting between the consultants and contractors.
